Teledyne launched MicroCalibir a new compact low-powered camera platform. The uncooled thermal camera platform has the smallest VGA IR core module which makes it ideal for OEM drones hand-held helmet-equipped and vehicle integrated products.

The latest advances in the integration of Teledyne DALSA 12 μm microbolometer pixel technology with a deep ADC ROIC circuit have resulted in the development of the small and lightweight MicroCalibir. The new ROIC design ensures operation in a 1000°C intra-scene temperature range at a sub-50mK NETD.

The pocket-sized 21 x 21mm form offers the latest Size Weight and Power (SWaP) optimization for this type of LWIR image device with wide dynamic range.

Also the cameras can reach very low sub-30mK NETD levels by utilizing user selectable advanced noise filtering algorithm.

The MicroCalibir platform delivers high-end thermal capabilities and accuracy and can be configured by resolution field of view and frame rate to deliver optimal performance areas such as UAV security and surveillance outdoor recreation and personal vision systems firefighting etc.

MicroCalibir cameras and cores are available in QVGA and VGA resolutions and a variety of lens options. The modular design allows different interface options today and future. The current usable interface is LVCMOS and USB2 and CS2 version will be available in late 2021.
